Our early 20’s can be one of the most exciting times of your life, but it can also be one of the most complicated. Many of us are trying to find ourselves and discover our true passions all while juggling school, a full-time job, and a social life. The stresses can be overwhelming and anxiety is likely to get the best of us. That being said, no matter how busy you are, you MUST make it a priority to find time for yourself.
Growing up, my abuelita would always make me the most delicious coconut candy and ship it to me straight from Puerto Rico. Ever since then, I have been obsessed with coconut. Whether it’s coconut candy, coconut ice cream, coconut water, or coconut chips; I simply can’t get enough. So when I stumbled across coconut oil at Trader Joes, of course I had to get it.
Buh-bye scarves, boots, bonfires, and hot chocolate; hello sunhats, margaritas, bikinis and sandals. After what seemed like a harsh and long Florida winter, it’s finally warming up outside. Spring is near and I couldn’t be more excited. Hair gets lighter, skin gets darker, water gets warmer, nights get longer, and we finally feel like we live in Florida again.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. After sleeping, your body craves nutrients in the morning even if you don’t. I’ve never been a morning person and breakfast has never been a priority of mine, until I started waking up at 7:00 am. I found myself in class unable to focus because I was distracted about how hungry I was. I realized I needed to come up with ideas for quick breakfast meals to start my day. Continue reading
