Between Worlds

Hello beautiful, darling world(s),

Ha! What world do I belong in? What world do I feel most comfortable in? Well, the simple answer is: Karlana’s World!

BUT… the big but…that isn’t really the answer, not for me anyway.

First, I want to apologize for not writing sooner. Being a full-time student aaaaand getting a degree that requires a ton of writing due the last couple weeks of class has taken a toll. Coming up is finals week and then I have a glorious winter break!

Rain rain, go away…or stay.

Hello beautiful world!
It has been raining endlessly the past two days, lending to gloomy all around. So I have been coming up with ways to combat negative thoughts, feelings that the piano will fall from the heavens, or any other dramatics that seem to prevail when Mother Nature is giving our Earth a drink.
Gratitude comes to mind and the opportunity to wear bright and colorful clothes!
What do I have to be thankful for today? Probably at least 112 things, but let’s make a slow go of it, in the spirit of the rain.

2. I am a survivor of incest, 2 rapes, domestic violence, and the depression and PTSD that comes along with these terrifying experiences. Today I am a THRIVER!!!
